REV UP Your Junk Journals with Altered Paperclips and Coin Rollers…Plus!

Paperclips do wonders in a junk journal. Coin rollers acquired at a thrift store and found in my stash recently provided inspiration for using the paperclips with more interest and 'rev'(!) Lots and lots of junk journal ideas using a variety of stashed thrift store purchases and paperclips for page embellishments. While (again) re- organizing my craft room, I got inspired to brainstorm and create new items from old stashed materials. I used my recently rusted paperclips and others to dabble around and come up with useful ways to embellish junk journal pages Tags: paperclips, fabric, lace, coin rollers, rusting paperclips, spray enamel, bulb pins, dangles, eyelets, washi tape, paperdolls, decorative stitching, machine sewing, stickers, gold mod podge, lace, eyelets, charms, quotes, distress ink, re-inkers, inkpad, wilted violet, picture frames, decoupage, corner punch, bookmarks, mini library pockets, thrift stores, stamps, brads, acetate, photo mounts reference to https://www.etsy.com/shop/TheRamblinC... (Chelle and Clint Ratcliffe) If you like this video, please like and subscribe.  Using Piano Roll Paper as Embellishments in Junk Journals

Piano roll paper provides an interesting texture to pages in a junk journal and is a good way to upcycle papers from the lost art of the self playing piano. I am using several pieces and bits to decorate and create. Piano roll paper resembles vellum a little but has sprockets running up and down one side denoting where the piano plays and notes to create a tune. It's pretty roly poly and requires a bit of patience to work with, but the results are meaningful and the paper now has a new purpose. I have searched for different ideas to make these journal pages pop. Enjoy this procedure with me.

How to Use Origami Papers in Junk Journals (found at the Thrift Store!)

Origami Papers! Do you know how to 'origami'? Unfortunately, it is not a skill I have acquired to date! Not knowing how to formally fold origami papers to create....and having a stash of origami papers, I have attempted to do some simple paper folding for use in junk journals. I started with folding the papers in half and then diagonally and I proceeded from there to ensure the papers are precisely folded. I created a few different types of pockets for junk journal pages and puzzle pieces for embellishing pages in junk journals.

Thrift Store Stationary Buy and Unique Embellishments

I found an attractive stationary set at the thrift store and have been looking around for ways to create useful journal spots with them. I ordered some flowers from Ali Express longish ago and they came in yesterday! Viola!(French!) Wallah! (English pronunciation!) anyway, problem solved! I like the simple adornments the flowers presented on the book pages Tags: stationary, writing space, journal pages, forest moss green, copper stamper, dyed paper, sundried, flowers, gardenia, pink flowers, lavender, fussy cuts, eucalyptus, greenery, trees, public domain, fall plants, ivy, white flowers, bachelors buttons, stickers, needle,

Juice Extractor Filter Paper in Junk Journals

A thrift store find! A thick strip of juice extractor papers, resembling coffee dyed glassine bags. Since it was thin paper in strips, I immediately picked it up for $1.50, had to bring it home and started looking around for ways to utilize these paper thin filters using items I already had. This video is my 'journey' of discovery as I got into items like inks, laces, stitching, downloaded images, fabric cutouts, scrapbooking pages, book pages, acetate, and more. Since I have never extracted juice or seen these papers, I was curious to bring these into my 'list' of possibilities for reuse. Hope you enjoy my processes and please contribute to ways I have not thought of to date! Would welcome comments!
